AFTER a morning browsing the Thursday market in Devizes my partner and I decided to grab a bite to eat.

I walk past this cafe every day and it always looks busy so I thought what they had to offer must be good.

The cafe is quite small and is tucked away from the main buzz of the town. It has a lovely homely feel and the staff are extremely welcoming.

Having had a lie-in that morning I skipped breakfast so decided to go for a bacon sandwich on white bread and a cup of tea.

Craig had more of an appetite than myself so opted for the Mayenne Burger.

We were only waiting a short time for our food which was very well presented.

The bread was fresh and there was a generous helping of good-quality bacon which wasn’t too fatty or greasy.

Craig said his burger was very enjoyably, the meat was lean and the homemade coleslaw complimented it very nicely.

We felt very at home in the cosy surroundings and stayed chatting for quite some time after we’d finished our meals without feeling pressured by the staff to hurry up and leave.

I will definitely be returning in the near future.
