Muriel Harrison

CHARITY fundraiser Muriel Harrison of Littlemead, Box, was branch secretary of Cancer Research UK for 27 years.

She loved music, especially singing and playing the piano. She and her husband Gordon were both members of the Box Singers.

Mrs Harrison was born in Portsmouth and worked as a typist for the Navy, which is where she met her husband.

The couple, who were married in 1947, moved to Wiltshire about 30 years ago. They had two children, Neil and Rosemary.

Mrs Harrison, who died on April 9 after suffering a stroke, leaves her husband, two children and four grandchildren.

Her funeral was held last Tuesday at West Wiltshire Crematorium in Semington.
