FORMER Potterne pub landlord Mick Roberts has died suddenly, just ten days after the funeral of his wife Patsy.
Mr Roberts was a professional jump jockey for most of his life and was still riding out for his son-in-law, the trainer Stan Moore at Lambourn, until the day of his death, March 17.
He died on his beloved gallops at Uplands while exercising the race horses.

Mr and Mrs Roberts lived in Holly Close at Pewsey and would have celebrated their golden wedding next month.
He was a jump jockey when he met his wife, whose late father was the Everleigh racehorse trainer Harry Hannon.
Her brother Richard still runs the stables at Everleigh.
They had two daughters, Sara who married Stan Moore and Sally-Ann who is married to jockey Simon Whitworth.
They moved to Canada for five years where Mr Roberts worked in the racing and hunting industry.
After their return to England the couple took over the Bell at Potterne, which they ran for ten years, making many lasting friends.
After leaving the pub Mr Roberts kept up his love of horses by riding out for his trainer son-in-law at Lambourn.
Cremation took place yesterday at Semington, where his wife had been cremated on March 7.
He is survived by his two married daughters.
