Mother Sandra Caplin, 66, who was brought up in The Crescent, Pewsey, with four brothers and one sister, has died after suffering a stroke.
Mrs Caplin, whose maiden name was Kimber, lived in The Crescent and went to school in Pewsey, later working in the former Pewsey Hospital.
Her brother Vince Kimber is a member of Pewsey Parish Council and another brother, Tony Kimber, is one of the Pewsey Carnival organisers.
She and her husband Gerry, who originally hailed from Manningford Bruce, had three children.
The couple, who were married for 40 years, lived all over the country as a result of Mr Caplin’s work in the National Health Service. Their daughter Joanna Talbot said: “While I was growing up we moved 16 times.” The couple finally settled in Bury St Edmonds where they spent the last 14 years with Mrs Caplin enjoying her garden, reading, knitting and cross-stitching.
After suffering a stroke Mrs Caplin was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge where she died on Sunday. She is survived by her husband, children Wendy, Martin and Joanne, five grandchildren and by her four brothers and one sister. The funeral will take place in Bury St Edmonds.
