A large congregation at St Bartholomew’s Church, Wootton Bassett shared in celebrating the life of Robert Woodhouse, 37, who was a local Beaver Scout leader and junior football coach.

Former gamekeeper Ralph Charles Lilley, of Tutton Hill, Colerne, died at the Royal United Hospital in Bath on June 4 after a short battle with cancer.

David John Lawrence, who was known by friends and family as a ‘free-spirit’, died from a heart attack at the age of 64.

Winifred (Wyn) Fleet, 95, who taught at St Bartholomew’s Primary School, Wootton Bassett for 18 years prior to retirement, was remembered by a large congregation at St Bartholomew’s and All Saints’ Church, where she worshipped regularly until her health failed in April.

Maria Hilliar who had lived with husband Peter in Kingsbury Street in Marlborough since their wedding 35 years ago has died in the Prospect Hospice just four months after doctors told her she had cancer of the lung.

Cameron Gough, aged 86, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday May 28 after a short illness in Torbay Hospital where he was on holiday with his wife, Jeanne, in Torquay.
