WILTSHIRE SUNDAY CUP Corsham Centre, will join British Lion in the final 16 of the Wiltshire Sunday Cup after they defeated fellow Chippenham League side White Hart Combe to set up a home match with Swindon league side Wheatsheaf. Combe might have ended up losing to the Centre, but their manager Trevor Rawlings was very proud of his side and after 45 minutes they were the better of the two sides and had threatened a possible cup upset after Craig Fullham free kick had given them a 1-0 half time lead. White Hart Combe whose tenacity in the tackle in the first half ensured that they disrupted the Centre's passing game broke down on most occasions, with the closest the Centre came to scoring was when Simon Gray had a first time short turned over the bar. read more

Ben Highmore signed off in style for the Little George before heading off to work in Canada with a hat trick, his first came when he headed home a Joe Forester cross to start the stampede. Another cross from Forester led to Justin Phillamore heading home Little George's second, Jack Coathupe, claimed goal number three although it was helped into the net by Rangers Craig Dore. Ben Highmore scored goals number four and five to seal his treble. Nat Auckland tapped home goal number six after keeper Del Llewellyn who had another fine match between the sticks for Rangers had saved Forester's initial shot. Forester who had help set up three of his teams goals finally got on the score sheet himself with the seventh and final goal. Little George should have added an eight but somehow from what looked to be an unmissable position Nathan Phillamore missed a sitter. read more
