Defeat means City slip to third

SALISBURY City suffered a 1-0 defeat away at Grantham Town on Saturday.

A goal three minutes into the second half condemned the Whites to only their third defeat of the campaign.

The result means City slipped to third place in the table.

Bedford United's win at fellow promotion rivals Chippenham Town took them up to second place - level on points with leaders Mangotsfield United whose match was postponed.

Whites are one point behind both but with two games in hand on Mangotsfield and three on Bedford.

City's next match is on Saturday when Chesham United visit the Raymond McEnhill Stadium.
