Christmas rubbish

SWINDON Services has announced the changes to the dates of rubbish collection over the festive period.

There will be no collection of rubbish or recycling on December 26 or 27. For people who normally put their rubbish out in black bags on these days there will be a double collection on January 2 or 3. For homes which use wheelie bins there will be a weekly collection from December 19 to January 6 to cover the extra waste generated at Christmas.

Properties which normally receive a collection on December 26 and 27 will receive a collection on December 19 and 20 and January 2 and 3.

but not on December 26 and 27.

Other properties should put their bins out on their normal collection day.
