WESTLEA fire station will host a charity Christmas party on Saturday, December 10. Station commander Ian Jeary is looking forward to the event, which is to be held for the third year in a row.
He said: "It's open to everyone and when we've done it in the past it's gone really well.
"In previous years we've raised money for charity and everyone that has attended has had a good night."
Money raised on the night will go to the Children's Fire and Burns Trust and the Fire Service National Benevolent Fund.
Mr Jeary said: "The Children's Fire and Burns Trust works with the burns unit and it has got a research unit looking at improving treatment for burns.
"They do a lot of good work for children affected by fire."
Tickets to the event cost £15 and that includes a pig roast and live music.
The bands on stage will be local girls Craeson and All or Nothing.
Tickets are available on the door, but to buy in advance call 01793 487562.
