Thanks for aid

I WOULD like to thank all who visited the Swan Rescue stall at the Highworth Co-op on Saturday, November 19, and bought goods and/or put money into our collecting tins.

Also, a thank you to the Co-op staff, who made us so welcome.

I am delighted to report that we raised £269.40, all of which will go to the Cotswold Swan and Wild Bird Rescue, based in Cirencester.

We were touched by the generosity and interest of the shoppers on such a raw day.

We all feel sympathy for the wild creatures in and around our towns during this cold, hard weather and I know that those at the Rescue will put the money raised to excellent use.
