Praise is due to workers

REGARDING the letter from Coun Philip Sharp (Adver, Nov 28).

It is very good to recognise the hard work done by the cabinet member, David Renard, and the council officers for achieving such a fantastic result in reducing voids, re-lets and gaps in council tenancies.

He stated that their hard work had paid off.

But wouldn't that praise have been even better received if Coun Sharp had paid tribute to the workforce at Swindon Commercial who clear, clean and repair the empty council properties many in a somewhat disgusting state before being re-let, and the speed in achieving those results?

Well done lads and lasses on the team at Swindon Commercial.
