Learmonth's refusing to panic yet

BIDDESTONE: GRAHAM Learmonth believes the next month could be vital to his side's season as they enter the busy festive period anxiously looking over their shoulders.

After a weather enforced two week break from action, Biddestone travel to Wellington tomorrow third from bottom in the Toolstation League Division One.

Boss Learmonth insists there is no panic among his young squad but admits with the games coming thick and fast in December and early January, the next month could be decisive.

He said: "Although we are third from bottom there are only six or seven points between seven or eight sides, so it is very tight down there.

"Come early January I think the league positions will sort themselves out and by then we will know what sort of season we are going to have.

"Around Christmas we play Elmore, Bradford, Bridport and Longwell Green and a few wins could move us up into a far more comfortable position.

"The break has been a bit frustrating because we were playing well but there is certainly no panic stations."

Luke Gullick and Dean Brookman are unavailable for tomorrow's clash while veteran centre back Nigel Tripp may also be missing.
