YOUTH FOOTBALL: MELKSHAM Town Youth hit back from a goal down to record a 3-1 home win over Chippenham Town Youth in the under Nines Blue Division of the Wiltshire Times and Chippenham News Mid Wilts Youth and Minor League.
Chippenham took the lead after a shot came back off the bar and the rebound was slotted home by Joe Merriman.
The second half started well for the home side, with a powerful 30- yard run and great finish from Callum Demkiv bringing the scores level.
Demkiv put Melksham in the driving seat at 2-1 with Morgan Burton sealing the victory at 3-1 with just four minutes left.
A well organised and resolute AFC Corsham Jaguars side restricted leaders Trowbridge Town Youth to a single goal victory for the first time this season. Trowbridge's goal came midway through the first half through a well worked move down the right hand side by Tom Green.
Corsham came close to equalising in the second half but were denied by a great save from Nathan Burrows.
Under Nines Green Division
TROWBRIDGE Town Youth returned to winning form to secure their fourth win of the season in their game at FC Chippenham.
Cameron Younger scored early in the first half to give Chippenham the lead before Harvey Hale responded with a well placed lob from outside the box to level the score.
In the second half a superbly struck free kick from Sam Fuller gave Town the lead. In the last minute Joe Frances' shot on goal was tapped in by Max Baker to give Town a well deserved 3-1 win.
After a goal-less first half Melksham Park went 2-0 up against White Horse Dynamos with two goals from Nathan Drew. In a remarkable final 10 minutes the Dynamos scored three times through Joshua Morgan-Williams to seal victory.
Trowbridge Wanderers remain four points behind leaders Trowbridge Town Youth after a 4-2 win over Bradford Town Youth White.
Under Nines Red Division
A CLOSE encounter saw Worton and Cheverell's Harry Waylen break the deadlock in the second half after finding himself one-on-one with the Derry Hill keeper.
Worton extended their lead with further goals from Elliot Bodman and a second for Waylen, but Derry Hill hit back with two goals in quick succession to make the score 3-2. Ben Marshall sealed the game for Worton with a strike from inside the box direct from a Waylen corner.
Melksham Town Youth ran out convincing 7-0 winners at home to FC Chippenham, with goals from Luke Thompson (2), Sam Rose (2), Alfie Kilgour (2) and Jack Clayton.
Bromham took a 1-0 lead at the break with an own goal at Chippenham Town Rangers. Chris Isherwood brought the game level but a goal in the dying minutes sealed a 2-1 victory for Bromham.
Under Nines Yellow Division
TROWBRIDGE Town Youth took the lead through Jodi Meaden in their home game against White Horse Juniors Flames.
The Flames came from behind showing great determination with two goals from Kieran Hegerty, one from the penalty spot. An excellent solo run and great finish saw Joe Halliday give the visitors a 3-1 final score. Toby Inkpin earned the Flames' man-of-the-match honour for a great defensive display.
Bradford Town Youth Blue earned their second win of the season by running out 10-0 winners at home against FC Chippenham. Bradford's goals came from Gus Wright (3), Michael Wilson, Lewis Beaver and Ollie Clayton-Smith (5).
Melksham Park dropped points for only the second time this season in a 1-1 draw at Trowbridge Wanderers. Tom Jones put Park in the lead, with Robert Metcalfe replying for Wanderers.
Under 10s Blue Division
MELKSHAM Park opened the scoring against Trowbridge Town Youth Cougars when they capitalised on some sloppy defending.
Trowbridge struggled to get back into the game and had to wait until the final 10 minutes when Jamie Mortimer scored to bring the game level.
Mortimer's second put Trowbridge in the lead with a third from Jack Whiting putting the result beyond doubt.
Melksham Town Youth earned their first win of the season by running out 3-1 winners at AFC Corsham Jaguars, Brad Butcher scoring a hat-trick.
Under 10s Green Division
AN understrength Trowbridge Town Jaguars side gave a brave performance against local rivals Trowbridge Wanderers.
With only six players Jaguars fought hard but found themselves 1-0 down before Lee Phillips brought the game level. An organised Wanderers soon regained the lead despite solid defending from Town's Dan Perry and Callam McCaldon. Wanderers continued to dominate and led 4-1 at the interval. Town gave an outstanding effort in the second half but two more goals from the visitors settled the game at 6-1.
An even first half saw White Horse Sparks take a 1-0 advantage at Warminster Highbury. Five second half goals, with one in reply, gave the Sparks a 6-1 victory. Nick Newth, Jemima Gover (2), Harry Bradford and Josh Murray-Williams scored for the Sparks, with Richard Ledbury replying for Highbury.
Bradley Hill gave Devizes Town Youth a 1-0 lead at the break in their home game against Larkhall Athletic Hawks and held on until the last minute when the Hawks equalised.
Under 10s Orange Division
WARMINSTER Juniors beat Bath Arsenal 3-2, with Ollie Plumb and Harry Merrill scoring for Bath.
Another close encounter saw Devizes Town Youth take the lead through Tommy Arkel against visitors Derry Hill United. After the break Derry brought the game level for a final score of 1-1.
Under 10s Red Division
TOBY Alexander and Conner Randell gave Melksham Park a 2-0 advantage at the break against local rivals Melksham Town Youth.
Park dominated play throughout the second-half, netting a further six goals to finish 8-0 winners. Park's second half goals came from Lewis Pearce (2), Jamie Kendray, Conner Randell, Kieran Jenkins, his first goal for the club, and Jordan Norville, who chipped the goalkeeper from distance.
Under 10s Yellow Division
WORTON and Cheverell continued their five-game unbeaten run by running out 7-0 winners away to Bradford Town Youth, with four of their seven goals coming from defenders.
After four years playing at the back and no previous goals for Worton, Oliver Clack scored a hat-trick with decisive runs down the left hand side. Kieran Dickinson scored his first goal for the club with a run down the middle past a number of players. Forwards Matthew Godwin and Jordon Wildman (2) also scored.
Larkhall Athletic Kestrels' unbeaten run came to an end as Trowbridge Wanderers Black ran out close 4-3 winners and replaced the Kestrels at the top of the table.
Under 11s Green Division
MELKSHAM Town Youth require just one point from their remaining two games to finish top of the division after running out 9-0 winners at AFC Calne.
Melksham's scorers were George Plank, Jake Cooper, Jake Brewer (2), Will Stead (2), Billy Cookson, Charlie Austin and Bradley Parsons.
