THE search is on for Swindon's 2006 Bride of the Year. The competition gives a couple the chance to enjoy the wedding of their dreams without the worry of what it is costing.
Any couples planning to marry between May and August next year are invited to write in for the chance to win a fairytale wedding.
Now in its 15th year, the competition sees the Advertiser team together with local businesses put together a fantastic wedding package worth a massive £10,000.
Alongside the star prize the first runner up will receive a 50 per cent discount from all the sponsors so they can save half of their wedding costs and the second and third runners up will receive 25 per cent off their weddings.
The winner of this year's competition was Samantha Moaby of Archers Close, Kingsdown, who married Paul Webb in July.
"It was my dream wedding," said Samantha, 31, a part-time shop assistant, on the wedding day in July.
Couples who want to be in with a chance of winning can enter the competition by filling in the coupon which will be printed in the Swindon Advertiser until December 2. Entrants will then be sent an application form. December 5, is the closing date for applications.
Once the forms are in, the sponsors will consider the most deserving couple, with four finalists being put to a reader vote, and the winners will be announced on Friday, January 13. Normal Newsquest rules apply.
