Fantastic four

WILTSHIRE TIMES EXCLUSIVE: STEFAN Klukowski is dreaming of following in his older brother's footsteps after being selected for the first round of the England Schoolboys' trial.

Sibling Yan captained the England Schoolboy side last season before earning a football scholarship in America and Stefan believes this year could be his turn.

The 16-year-old Sheldon School pupil will be joined by former Melksham Town keeper Dave Ivermee, and Calne Town duo Chris King and Rikki Summers at Millfield School for the South West trial on Sunday.

Klukowski, from Chipp- enham, who has had trials for Bristol City, said: "I saw what great things it did for Yan and it has given me the taste to try to do what he has done.

"Yan did brilliantly to do what he did but it does give me hope that maybe I have a chance of doing well too."

Sunday will be the first round of three before the final squad is announced, with the quartet aiming to make their mark on selectors.

Ivermee, 17, from Hilperton, plays for Bath under 18s and also keeps goal for Wiltshire under 18s.

He said: "You never think you will play for your country but having seen Yan do so well last year you never know."

Summers, 18, and King, 17, are students at John Bentley School in Calne.

King said: "It would be a dream to play for England at any level. The trial has come out of the blue."

Summers said: "A few lads progressed last year and if they can do it why can't we?"
