No mystery

A MURDER mystery evening in Highworth has been cancelled due to poor ticket sales.

The event on Friday November 4, which was to include a meal, had been planned as a fundraiser for the next year's celebrations of the 800th anniversary of the town receiving its charter.

On April 20, 1206 King John granted a charter to Warin Fitzgerold to hold weekly markets and an annual fair at Highworth.

The mystery evening had been due to take place at the town's Recreation Centre. Organisers hope to arrange an alternative event for a later date.
