Wootton Bassett and Cricklade residents will next month be able to voice their views on the future of parking at a meeting to discuss decriminalisation.
Next September North Wiltshire District Council will be taking over some of the responsibilities of car parking enforcement from the police.
The meeting is part of ongoing consultation within North Wiltshire following the introduction of controversial charges in September.
It will discuss the process of decriminalisation and seek the public's views on options for residential, business and retail parking within the two towns.
Leader of North Wiltshire District Council Carol O'Gorman said: "I am looking forward to hearing from people with their valued, constructive and informed comments and views."
Residents and traders have long called for a comprehensive parking plan to help reduce congestion and support businesses in the town.
The meeting is at 7pm on November 7 in the Memorial Hall.
Those wishing to attend should contact James Whittleton at North Wiltshire District Council or email jwhittleton@northwilts.gov.uk.
