Biddestone 1, Ilfracombe Town 2

BIDDESTONE boss Graham Learmonth believes his side's two week break has come at the right time after three straight defeats.

But his side was incredibly unlucky not to win at least a point against Ilfracombe Town on Saturday.

Biddestone came up against a team with more than its fair share of luck.

A supporter won £12 million on the Spanish lottery last week, a Biddestone penalty appeal was turned down with eight minutes to go and a Joe O'Chuko goal was ruled out for a marginal offside.

The hosts had the best of the opening exchanges and moved into a deserved lead through Steve Healy on 23 minutes.

Just before the referee called a halt to the first half Ilfracombe equalised after a mistake at the back by Eddie Drury. Biddestone continued to have the better of the possession but it was the away side who scored the winner on 69 minutes.

Learmonth said: "It is good we have a break now. We can have a couple of decent training sessions and regroup and get ready for Minehead in two weeks.

"By then we should have Nigel Tripp ready as well as our new defender Carl Harfield, who was at Melksham Town last season.

"It could be what we need to kick-start our season."
