CORSHAM Town were unlucky to come away with nothing from their day-trip to Devon after dominating the game.
Bideford appeared to still be reeling from their midweek defeat by Willand Rovers in the Les Phillips Cup and Corsham played with the confidence of a team that had won their last three games scoring 11 goals in the process.
Neither side developed any credible attack for more than 30 minutes but it was the visitors who were first to impress without anything to show for several good attacks.
With the first half 43 minutes old Bideford survived a strong appeal for a penalty and went straight on the attack to take the lead.
The visitors had most of the second half play and only dogged defending kept them from scoring.
Bideford survived attack after attack to consolidate their position at the top of the table.
Assistant manager John Woods said: "That was probably as well as we have played for 90 minutes all season but we have come away with nothing.
"It was a good performance but it was just one of those days.
"They have a lot of experience and we knew we were going to have to work hard down there.
"We felt we had the better chances but we did not get the rub of the green."
