Views sought on court service

AN inspection is due to be carried out at all Wiltshire courts to determine the quality of service provided for defendants.

In November and December HM Inspectorate of Court Administration would like to hear from the local community, particularly people who have been a defendant in court.

They are looking for views on the provision and standard of service provided by the courts.

A spokesman for the project said: "Your comments are valuable, and will remain confidential. We shall not quote any individuals by name."

The inspection findings will be published in February 2006 and will be made available to the public.

If anyone has any relevant comments they are asked to contact Diane Brooks at HMICA, 2nd Floor, City House, New Station Street, Leeds, LS1 4JR, or on (0113) 283 6635.
