CALNE reached the third round of the Junior Vase with a 21-15 victory over Berks, Bucks & Oxon side Littlemore.
The Dorset & Wilts Division One hosts produced a patchy performance but just did enough on the day.
Matt Arnold produced a solid game in the front row for Calne, while centre Guthrie Holliday grabbed both tries.
The balance of points came from the boot of scrum-half Andy Donegan with one conversion and three penalties.
Another Dorset & Wilts Division One North side, Minety, failed to make their way into the next round as they went down 21-5 at home to Berks, Bucks & Oxon Premier visitors Bicester.
The Oxfordshire side went on the attack from the outset and grabbed their first try inside the first quarter through centre John Rolason.
Minety were on the back foot for much of the cup contest, but their consolation try came soon after Bicester's score, as mobile lock David Hazell charged down an attempted clearance, scooped up possesion and charged over in the corner.
It was Minety's only joy, though, and after taking an 8-5 lead at the break, Bicester pulled away with two further tries, from Steve Risbridger and Richard Walsh, and a penalty.
