Consultants honoured at property awards

STAFF at the Swindon office of property consultants King Sturge have been honoured at an industry awards ceremony.

King Sturge was named the south west's Property Adviser of the Year at the Estates Gazette Awards dinner, held at London's Grosvenor House Hotel. The company also triumphed in the National Industrial category.

Jeremy Richards, partner in charge at King Sturge's Bristol office, picked up the award on behalf of the firm's Bristol, Swindon, Exeter and Bath offices, while Tim Johnson from the London office collected the trophy for National Industrial Property Adviser of the Year. Around 1,300 property professionals attended the event, which was hosted by BBC radio presenter Jeremy Vine.

David Spencer, partner in charge at King Sturge in Swindon, said: "It is very pleasing to have won in two of the five categories for which we were shortlisted, allied to the fact that the award is based on the votes of our competitors and clients across the south west.

"The EG Awards are the benchmark for our industry and the south west award serves to reinforce King Sturge's continuing pre-eminence."
