Honour for hotel

A restaurant has received a prestigious Blue Ribbon award from the RAC. The Pear Tree Hotel at Purton, run by Francis and Anne Young, has made it on to the latest list of winners in the motoring organisation's annual awards.

This year 255 properties in Great Britain and Ireland have been singled out for special recognition after anonymous visits by expert RAC hotel inspectors.
