NO-nonsense Iffy Onoura has hinted that the emergency loan exit door could start swinging as well as the entrance portal at the County Ground in the next few days.
The new Town boss, pictured, is finding his recruitment drive hard going at this stage with managers reluctant to release players during an international week.
However, efforts to secure emergency loans into the club could be mirrored by temporary deals out, in order to trigger the 'Fallon effect'.
No names at this stage but Onuora is convinced one or two individuals could benefit from a brief change of scenery.
As for efforts to bring in experienced additions, it seems the small matter of World Cup qualifiers is proving something of a hindrance.
Onuora said: "I'm finding it difficult to be honest with it being an international weekend.
"A lot of managers are taking a few days away while one manager I spoke to is waiting until after the internationals before deciding whether to let anyone go out."
At least Onuora knows he has backing from the boardroom when he does finally have some joy.
He said: "The board have said they're happy to let me identify players, obviously within reasonable perameters, as we haven't suddenly won the Lottery."
However, there is every likelihood of activity out as well as movement in.
Onoura said: "That's been mooted. It's something that's in my mind. We are getting a little bit top heavy.
"It'll only be one or two at most but it may may be beneficial for them to go somewhere else for a period.
"I've started discussions with them.
"I've quoted Rory Fallon as a shining example of the loan scenario. He hasn't looked back since (going out on loan to Yeovil).
"If I was sending someone away on loan it would be for that little short term boost."
Onuora is one to look for positives in all situations and being adrift at the bottom of the league is no exception.
He said: "This period that we're going through will stand us all in good stead in the future, no doubt about it. What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger.
"I expect that when we start climbing up the league we can look back and say we're better for it.
He said: "You can't change things overnight but you can put little pieces of the jigsaw in slowly but surely that you think will make a difference and we're just starting to do that.
"We're trying to put ideas in people's minds and how we want to be."
One thing is already clear. You don't mess with Onuora and you report for work on the dot.
He said: "A couple of them were late on Tuesday and I had to have a few hard words with them and say that's not what we expect.
"They're aware of what I expect in terms of punctuality. It might only be five minutes but it's my five minutes."
