Profits on the cards

MORE than 230m Christmas cards will be sent out by businesses to customers, suppliers and other contacts, Royal Mail has estimated.

The organisation recommends cards should not be sent before December 1.

The last posting dates are Tuesday, December 20 for first class and Saturday, December 17 for second class.

More than half of firms across the country believe that sending cards helps increase profits.
