Castle off the mark

CASTLE Combe Colts grabbed their first win of the season in the Under 9 Blue Division, beating Chippenham Town Youth 3-2 thanks to goals from Sam Hill (2) and Joe Harvey.

In the Under 10 Blue Division both Chippenham sides had mixed fortunes.

Leaders FC Chippenham Youth beat Larkhall Athletic Falcons 1-0 while Chippenham Town Youth lost 6-2 at home to Trowbridge Ty Falcons.

Matthew Lawrence scored the only goal for Bromham in their Under 10 Red Division defeat agianst White Horse Juniors.

White Horse are two points clear at the top after a 3-1 win

Under 11 Blue Division leaders Warminster Highbury saw off Castle Combe Colts 6-1 to keep their place at the top of the table.

Chippenham Town Youth were the latest side to be beaten by Melksham Town Youth, who secured their fourth successive win of the season.

Melksham won 13-1 with goals from Billy Cookson (2), Charlie Austen (4), Jake Brewer (3), Will Stead (3) and William Jacomb with Mitchell Ford replying.

Elsewhere in the division AFC Corsham Jaguars beat FC Chippenham 7-1.

Castle Combe Colts ran out 4-1 winners in the Under 11 Yellow Division against Chippenham Town Rangers.

And five goals from Ryan Godridge helped AFC Corsham to a 13-1 home win against FC Chippenham. Amesbury Juniors saw off Chippenham Town Youth by three goals, winning 3-0.

Lydiard FC were without a game in the Under 14 Blue Division, while in the Under 16 Red Division both teams had two players sent off as Marlborough Town were beaten 7-2 away at Salisbury.

Ricky Duncan (4), Ollie Hill (2) and Gregory Plant scored all seven goals for home side Salisbury United.
