'Now we've got the space to run around'

THE Creative Tots playgroup has found a new home. The group used to meet at the Arts Centre in Devizes Road, Old Town, but there was not enough space for all the youngsters who wanted to come along.

But after a move to Xavier Church Hall in Ashford Road there is room for everyone.

"We moved because the old place was small and the children certainly couldn't run around that much," said the co-owner Lisa Staley.

"And we had to have a first come first served rule and a waiting list for everyone else.

"Now there is room for everyone."

About 25 families came along to yesterday's session at the new hall.

The group, which caters for babies and toddlers at its sessions, puts on craft activities, a story-time and a sing-song and has also just bought new toys.

"We have loads going on," said Mrs Staley.

"The children have a fantastic time, it is great fun."

The playgroup is also changing its hours and will now run every Friday from 9.30am to 11.30am.

The first session is free and after that parents are asked to pay a £3 membership fee.

Each session then costs £2 per family.
