Brave soldiers

AS the mother of a soldier serving in Iraq I have come to the conclusion that your letter confirms my suspicion that you are not only anti-Army but truly oblivious to the situation in Iraq.

The so-called police our SAS soldiers were handed over to were in fact none other than terrorists and without any doubt those two SAS soldiers would have been beheaded if not for the bravery of Private Tollofield and many others including my son in the operation.

The mission of the SAS was a covert operation to prevent terrorist attacks such as King's Cross but then we don't expect Simon Bridewell to understand that.

But I must admit Simon Bridewell does enjoy his freedom of speech in a democratic society secured for the likes of him by the brave men and women in our Armed Services.
