Children turn on the French style

Children enjoy the French theme day at Warminster Preparatory School (30951)CHILDREN at Warminster Preparatory School discovered a touch of Gallic flair on Monday when the school held a French theme day.

The pupils, aged three to 11, went dressed in blue, white and red and made French flags to celebrate linguistic diversity.

The event marked the European Day of Languages, which aims to encourage language learning among all age groups and to foster respect for all of Europe's languages, including those spoken in regions and by minorities.

The pupils, who learn French from the age of five, took part in activities and competitions throughout the day designed to promote an understanding of foreign culture.

Highlight of the day was the French lunch, which was prepared by the school's catering staff
