Hopes high of art show success

MORE than 80 artists are displaying their work at the Bradford on Avon Lions Club exhibition. It is part of the town's art festival, taking place over 10 days this week and next.

More than 400 entries will be on display in St Margaret's Hall on October 1 and 2.

Lions president Stuart Lock, said: "This year there has been a great interest shown in the arts in Bradford and it looks as though the arts festival is going to be a great success." There will be a prize for each of four categories, watercolour, oils, acrylic, and other media. Mr Lock will judge the entries along with Bradford mayor Peter Leach and local artist Steve Hall.
