SOUTH Indian music stars will play a charity concert in west Wiltshire to raise money for survivors of the tsunami disaster.
Dr Joel Almeida, a Trowbridge doctor and musician who worked on the tsunami frontlines in India, has organised the concert in Bradford on Avon next week.
All profits are earmarked for the South Indian Federation of Fishermen Societies to help communities affected by the disaster, which killed more than 200,000 people in December.
Dr Almeida said: "The visiting musicians are from India's number one rhythm academy, Sri JGTV Academy in Chennai. Grammy Award winner Vikku Vinayakram is the principal of that academy and it will be an amazing show. Survivors are still in temporary camps. It will take over a year more to restore any semblance of normality."
The musicians start the charity tour with a concert in St Laurence School hall at 7.30pm on Tuesday and tickets are available on (01225) 309500.
