Brassing it out for charity

THE highly acclaimed Pegasus Brass band in Swindon is giving a charity concert in St Peter's Church tonight.

The Marlborough concert is being performed in aid of the Riverbank theatre project.

The brass band will be conducted by John Winterflood on the night of the performance.

They will perform a medley of best-loved classics and music from the shows.

The programme will include excerpts from the musicals My Fair Lady and Phantom of the Opera, as well as a Glenn Miller tribute and other well-known television and film music.

The guest soloists performing on the evening are Lynn Hawkins (soprano) and graham Davison-Smith (baritone)

The concert starts at 7.30pm and doors open at 7pm.

The event is sponsored by Colina Wines.

There will be a licensed bar.

All proceeds from the band's concert will go towards the Riverbank Theatre project.
