Drayton are downed by Coleshill

NORTH BERKS LEAGUE: NEWLY promoted Coleshill United pulled off a surprise in Division 1 as they inflicted a first defeat in 22 matches on champions Drayton.

In only their second outing of the new campaign, Coleshill ran out 1-0 winners courtesy of Christian Ayres' second-half goal.

Adrian Mooney bagged four goals for Lambourn Sports as they won 7-5 at Steventon. Darren Jones, Craig Hill and Danny Pearce were also on target for the visitors.

Chris Whittle, meanwhile, bagged Faringdon Town's solitary goal as they beat Blewbury 1-0.

In Division Two, Appleton (Abingdon) and Shrivenham A shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw as both teams remain unbeaten.

Andy Cooper fired Appleton ahead with Marc Pugh scoring for Shrivenham.
