Red card costly for Supermarine

Supermarine's Roger Emms sees red against Solihull Ref: 99316-114Swindon Supermarine will see their 2-2 draw with Solihull Borough as two points dropped, but Mark Collier's men still stretched their unbeaten run to eight games.

Marine had led 2-0 at half-time thanks to a deft lob from Danny Allen and a close range effort from Matt Pratley who had earlier struck a post.

But it all went horribly wrong after a 65th-minute flashpoint.

Justin Marsden rounded Tom King and looked certain to score when Roger Emms brought him down. Emms saw red for the challenge and the resulting spot kick was calmly dispatched by Danny Hall.

The equalising goal came in the final minutes as a result of some controversy. With his assistant appearing to give a free-kick in favour of Collier's men, referee Michael Rowley overruled the decision and awarded the free-kick to Solihull.

Matt Hawker took a quick set piece laying the ball off to Danny Hall who supplied a perfect cross that was turned in by Pete Barry.

Chippenham ran out comfortable 2-0 winners against Evesham in the Premier Division to stay in touch with leaders Salisbury.

Gary Thorne's thunderbolt and an injury time James Constable goal his fifth in four games sealed the points.

Cirencester continue to slip down the table as they once again failed to turn pressure into goals.

Brian Hughes' men bossed the first half against visiting Mangotsfield, with Gareth Hopkins and Shaun Wimble squandering good openings.

But two goals in five minutes from David Seal early in the second half knocked the stuffing out of Ciren and Rob Claridge made it 3-0 late on.
