£1,500 for top model

Would-be models are being given the chance to strut their stuff in a competition to find the Model of the Year 2005 and win a prize valued at £1,500, courtesy of Bradford on Avon company Aerian, providers of innovative multi-media.

The Wiltshire Times has teamed up with The Shires shopping centre in Trowbridge and Frome and west Wiltshire's 3tr FM and is inviting young men and women aged 16 or over to enter the competition and be part of a fashion show in October.

Those wanting a taste of what it feels like on the catwalk should go to the centre square (near Boswells Caf) in The Shires on September 25 where casting will take place.

Entrants must arrive promptly at 11am. Each person will have their photograph taken, be given a brief interview and asked to walk a few paces to assess their suitability. Casting for the show is being run by Wayne Palmer, of Wayne's World of Fashion, and a panel of judges including shopping centre manager Steve Murray, retailers from The Shires and a representative from 3tr FM, which is supporting the competition.
