Slovakian is new target

MARK Hodkinson is hoping to add some international flavour to his Bradford Town squad by signing Slovakian striker Mark Zvoda.

Hodkinson spotted the powerful targetman playing for Trowbridge Harriers in the Chippenham Sunday League and quickly moved to try and secure his services.

The Bradford boss has passed on Zvoda's details to the English FA, who will in turn forward them on the Slovakian FA to get international clearance for the player.

Hodkinson said: "He came training on Tuesday night and did quite well. He seems very keen and looks like he has a lot of strength about him.

"He is 25-years-old and apparently has played in the Second Division in Slovakia so he must have something about him.

"It is now just a matter of how quickly the Solvakian FA get back in touch to give him international clearance."

Bradford entertain Clevedon tomorrow in the Toolstation League first division, hoping to pick up their first ever home points in this league after picking up seven points from their last three away games.

Hodkinson said: "We have done the hard work, now we need to transform that into good performances at home."

Charlie Powell returns from suspension.
