MEL Gingell has tipped Trowbridge Town striker Matt Cooper to have a starring role in his Wiltshire under 18s three-pronged trophy assault this season.
Cooper fired two goals in Wiltshire's 2-2 draw at Westbury United on Wednesday night as Gingell anticipates another successful season.
His side enjoyed a memorable South West Counties Championship triumph last season but with Cooper firing on all cylinders, Gingell sees no reason why they can't go one better.
He said: "We played Warminster, lost 1-0, and then drew with Westbury this week in preparation for next Saturday's opening FA County Youth Cup at Cambridge.
"Cooper just missed out on the squad last season but he will be the main man this time round. It would be great to do well in the national cup and I don't see why we can't. We have some lost very good players but we have also gained some. We have our last warm up game at Melksham Town on Monday night."
