New partnership opens window of opportunity

A SWINDON firm is offering an alternative to glass, thanks to a new partnership with an Italian company.

Swindon-based ORB Ltd is now working with Rome-based Clax Italia to sell Nebula a type of lightweight but strong acrylic crystal.

The material is available in 21 tile and sheet sizes and in a multitude of colours and patterns, translucent and opaque.

Unlike glass, the material can be cut and drilled like wood, easily formed into curved surfaces, is shatterproof, reflects sound, and is half the weight of glass.

Sam Watson, director of O.R.B. Ltd said: This is a very exciting venture.

"I feel privileged to bring this product to the UK."
