ALDBOURNE arrived at Chippenham with the bare 15 players but came out on top 12-3 after a dogged display in Dorset & Wilts 2 North.
The Dabchicks were in control throughout and both their tries were carbon copies of eachother.
And it was No 8 James Lawrence who touched down on both occasions.
Paul Beresford converted one of the two tries for the extra points, while Chippenham kicked a penalty in the second half to complete the scoring.
In Division 3 North, Minety 2nd found their form to beat Swindon College 2nd 13-5.
Skipper Andy Hibbard opened the scoring for Minety with a try after 20 minutes.
College responded 10 minutes later when their winger latched on to a long clearance kick out of his own 22 from their full-back, to run through and score.
The sides turned around level, but it was the home side that scored the next try.
Hibbard made a run from half way, only to be tackled on the 22. The ball went loose but James Hazell eventually found Ed Fenn to score in the corner.
Gareth Dyer added a penalty before College responded but without getting the score they needed.
Fairford continued their fine start to life in Dorset & Wilts Three North, claiming a 26-0 win at Sutton Benger.
Supermarine 2nd were 45-17 winners against Trowbridge.
Marlborough claimed the early lead in Dorset & Wilts Two North with a 40-5 thumping of Swindon 3rd.
