Police seek young men captured on camera

Two men police want to interview in connection with a handbag theft in Chicago Rock Cafe, TrowbridgePOLICE have released CCTV images of suspects wanted in connection with thefts in west and north Wiltshire.

Officers in Trowbridge are hoping to track down two men caught on camera in Chicago Rock Cafe, on June 29.

The men stole a ladies' shoulder bag and contents from a table at the Park Road venue at around midnight.

Both men entered the bar at 11.18pm and mingled with other customers before striking up conversation with a woman.

The victim asked the men to look after her bag while she went to the toilet but by the time she returned they had left the club with her property.

They were spotted leaving at about 12.13am one of the men was seen hiding something inside his jacket.

An E800 Silver Samsung mobile phone, cosmetics and keys were inside the black shoulder bag, with the total valued at £270.

The first offender is described as white, 5ft 7ins, small build with short ginger hair. He was wearing dark-coloured trousers, a dark t-shirt and light-coloured short jacket. The second man was white, 5ft 7ins tall, about 20 years old, with a slim build and short brown hair. He was wearing light blue jeans and a blue hooded top with white writing across the front.

A thief who stole £4.80 worth of petrol from Morrison's petrol station, Chippenham, on April 19 is also being hunted by police. The man is described as white with dark hair.

A second petrol thief, who stole £22 worth of fuel from London Road garage, Chippenham, on June 1, is also wanted by police. The registration plates displayed on the Ford Ka were stolen from a car in Bath the day before.

A man is also wanted in connection with the theft of a mobile phone from a motorcycle showroom at PR Taylor & Sons, Chippenham, on July 15.
