Parking protest

CAR parking charges have been implemented as of September 1 in the long-stay car park in Corsham without adequate prior consultation with local residents.

This has resulted in local residents who use this car park having to pay out over £1,000 per year. While I understand implementing car park charges will generate revenue which will help the town, I believe it has not been done in the best interest of the local traders and residents.

After all, it is the residents who are the town. You may feel that this does not directly affect you but actually it will affect the shops and the usage of parking in other areas. So please support (by writing/contacting the district council) the local residents and traders in having proper consultation at the earliest possible timing with the North Wilts District Council.
