Ollie Cox gets a close up view of some of the displays at the Science Museum Picture Ref: 99139-04PHOTOGRAPHERS have been getting competitive at the Science Museum at Wroughton.
The museum opened its first photography competition over the weekend and organisers hope that snappers will be inspired by the exhibits at the museum to come up with original images.
Some of the best entries will be exhibited in the museum's gallery during November.
Aircraft, bicycles and agricultural machinery are among the subjects on offer.
Keith Brown, spokesperson for the museum, said: "We're very pleased with the response so far, and hopefully it will continue."
The competition is called Snapshots of Science, and there are categories for adult black and white, adult colour and under-15s either colour or black and white.
Pictures, which do not have to be contemporary, should be either of the buildings at the museum, or of items stored or exhibited there.
Closing date is Friday, October 21. Prizes will be presented on Sunday November 6.
The museum is open daily between 10am and 6pm. For information on how to enter the competition call Simon Gould on 01793 846200.
