Chippenham back with win

CHIPPENHAM 2nd returned to the Bristol Merit Table with an impressive 22-3 win over their North Bristol counterparts.

Chippenham's strong defence held North Bristol at bay in the opening exchanges, and it was they who broke the deadlock with a counter-attack.

Centre Andy Flower broke from deep inside his own half and fed debutant winger Tom Case who in turn fed scrum-half Tim Dunford for the score.

North Bristol responded with a 33rd-minute penalty to make it 5-3 to the visitors at the break.

Chippenham grabbed their second try early in the second half as open-side Dan Shuker scored after a lineout catch and drive.

Replacement wing Kriss Beecham then went over In the 67th minute, fly-half Dan Reynolds converting, and Chippenham's final try came from No 8 Hamish Morton, who capitalised on a poor lineout throw from the home side.
