Seven-goal Bar run Circles round Blues

CHIPPENHAM SUNDAY LEAGUE: DIVISION THREE: All five of the promoted teams made a winning start.

Bar OC coasted to a 7-2 win over relegated Blue Circle (Sunday). Mark Hulland, Luke Enderby and Darren Brown shared six of the goals with two each, and Rob Drown added No 7. Graham Deveney and Scott Walford replied.

Both Wheatsheaf FC (formerly Bradstone Rovers) and AFC Calne had a man dismissed when the local rivals met at Goatacre, but in the end it was newcomers Calne who ran out easy 3-0 winners. Ryan Kelleher, Simon Dance (pen) and Dean Fry scored.

The second period saw Aaron Clegg (Calne) and Matt Compton (Wheatsheaf) sent off.

Since joining the league in 1999, Trowbridge Town Supporters Club have never won on the opening day of the season, but a 3-2 success over Westbury Rangers B saw them erase that unwanted statistic.

Fascia Graphics defeated Somerford FC 5-0, thanks to goals from Darren Legg (2), Neurin Jones, Mark Smith and Steve Shipway.

An 86th-minute Dave Nolan goal was Sir Audley Arms' only consolation as they were put to the sword by a rampant Rowde Dynamos side who claimed a crushing 6-1 victory in their first game in the division after finishing as Division Four runners-up last season.

Adam Ford's fierce 20-yard drive after just four minutes set Rowde on the victory trail, before Jamie Mullins took over with four. Substitute Richard Hayter netted the other.

DIVISION FOUR

Southgate Inn were the only one of the three new sides to gain a win, but the anticipated cricket score against last season's wooden spoonists AFC Melksham never materialised.

Melksham took a two-goal lead before Southgate hit back to win 6-4. Alex Locke (2), Lee Stripe and Andy Harrison's goals for Melksham were not enough as Nick Paget (2), Nick Taylor, Ashton Turner, Ian Davis and Aaron Greenidge all scored.

AFC Pilot took the spoils in a match against the Wanderers they dominated from the first whistle to win 3-0. Tony Couch broke the deadlock in the 15th minute with a 25-yard volley, Phil Conrach headed home their second and the third goal came from Lee Ridout with a far post header.

AFC Springfield secured a solid opening day 6-0 win over league newcomers Kings Arms (Market Lavington).

Chris Andrews led the attack with three, Tamlyn Goodrich (2) and Scott Fleming added the others.

Kyle Mather's 90th-minute header from Shane Thornton's pinpoint cross was good enough to earn Cooper Avon a 1-0 victory over White Hart Combe.

A hat-trick each from Ben Husband and Dom Riccio saw KSM beat relegated Old Road Tavern 6-0.

Riccio opened the scoring, but Husband's second goal was the pick of the six.
