Money for meals

Swindon Council will receive £108,435 as part of a Government drive to improve school meals.

The cash will be the first instalment from the Government's new Targeted School Meals Grant a result of TV chef Jamie Oliver's high-profile campaign.

Swindon's first instalment will be used to help achieve the Government's minimum nutrition standards for school meals and on better training for school cooks.
