Mobile masseur eases away stress and strain

Robert Meade massages athlete Sharna King Ref: 99117-54A MOBILE masseur is bringing stress relief to the town's tense business and sports community.

Robert Meade began his business just three months ago after taking voluntary redundancy from Thames Water and already his hands are being highly praised.

"I am now 42 and only now have I found the career I have always wanted to do," said Mr Meade,

"This is the best job in the world, meeting new people and knowing I am making a real difference in their lives.

"Massage provides many ways of relieving stress and it's not just beneficial to sports men and women but to everyone in society.

"More than half my customers are not sports people at all, but come from all walks of life, who feel they need some stress relief.

"Many are pleased that I am a mobile masseur.

"So many masseurs simply operate from home and expect their clients to go to them, but I could not see the point in that, because after clients leave, they might end up getting stuck in traffic and have a stressful journey home, and then the whole effect of the massage is lost.

"By me going to their home, they can chill out after the massage and settle down to a night in."

Robert, who trained as a masseur at Wiltshire College, is now looking to further improve by gaining more qualifications and eventually become a sports therapist.
