Some of those involved in STEP Ref: 99127-01TROUBLED youngsters were given a pat on the back for completing a summer confidence-building course.
Swindon Ten to Eighteen Partnership (STEP) aims to integrate youngsters back into society.
On Saturday, at a fun day held at the County Ground, they were presented with achievement awards.
Johanna Bryant, project director, said: "The youngsters loved the mini Olympics that we held.
"We had javelin-throwing, hurdles and various other track events.
"Afterwards, Swindon's mayor handed out certificates to those who had participated in STEP events over the summer."
The project receives cash from SPLASH, which is a fund set up by Wiltshire Constabulary to help disadvantaged children.
"Most people who come to us have been socially excluded in some way," said Johanna.
"This could be a result of bullying. We help give them confidence through various fun events."
