NEIL Kirkpatrick was in seventh heaven on Sunday morning as his Trowbridge Town side treated a record crowd to a thrilling display.
Due to the Hellenic League's ground hopping Bank Holiday weekend 369 fans turned out for the clash at Woodmarsh and were not disappointed as the Bees turned on the style.
Young striker Matt Cooper helped himself to a brace while Nathan Flower, Dave Percival, Chris Tricker and Adam Nunn also got on the score sheet to cap an impressive all round display.
With seven points out of a possible nine boss Kirkpatrick is delighted with his side's start to the campaign.
He said: "Although we were only 2-0 up at half time I though we were exceptional and were creating chances at will.
"Then for 20 minutes after the break they pulled a goal back and we could not get a touch of the ball for a while. It was a strange game.
"Then we got two more and from there it was all one way traffic as they got disheartened and we ran away with it. "
Flower broke the deadlock on 24 minutes for his first goal for Trowbridge while the best was saved till last with Nunn's 20 yard strike which completed the rout.
