Apartments may replace houses

PLANS to build eight large town houses could be replaced by a scheme to put up 22 apartments.

Redrow Homes South West Ltd has outline planning permission to build eight three-storey town houses in the Redhouse area of the Priory Vale development in North Swindon.

But the company now wants to build 22 apartments on the same piece of land instead.

Blunsdon St Andrew Parish Council has objected to the plans because of lack of parking space but planning officers say that there is enough parking and recommend the application is approved.

The plans will be debated by Swindon Council's planning committee at 6pm on Tuesday, September 6, at the Civic Offices, Euclid Street.
