Offer is open to older drivers

AGE Concern is breaking the age barrier for Swindon's motorists. The charity has revealed that older people are using their cars longer into retirement.

Spokesperson Jo Osorio explained:

"Older people value the freedom and independence offered by the car."

To encourage this, Age Concern offers motor insurance with no upper age limit.

More than 40 per cent of policyholders are aged 75 or older.

But many other insurers operate an upper age limit for quotations.

Mr Osorio said: "This means that even if you want to carry on driving, you may run into problems finding affordable cover."
